Role Description

Seventh-day Adventist Schools Northern Australia Ltd. is seeking expressions of interest for the temporary role of Assistant to the Deputy Principal - Secondary at Carlisle Adventist College. This is a short term position commencing as soon as possible and continuing until the end of Term 2.

As a member of the Carlisle Adventist College community, you will join a passionate team committed to advancing the Seventh-day Adventist identity of the school, supporting students to strive for academic excellence, and nurturing their growth within a positive Christian learning environment.

The successful applicant will support the Deputy Principal in the leadership and day-to-day coordination of the Secondary school. This may include assisting with student management, staff support, communication with students and families, organisation of secondary routines, and helping maintain a positive, orderly and supportive learning environment.

We are seeking someone who demonstrates strong relational and communication skills, sound judgement, initiative, and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, students and families. A commitment to the values and mission of Adventist education is essential.

Application Requirements

The successful applicant will preferably hold a relevant teaching qualification and be eligible for registration with the Queensland College of Teachers to teach in Queensland. It is preferable that the successful applicant be a baptised and practising member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, or a practising Christian sympathetic to the unique Seventh-day Adventist identity of the College.
