Job Description
The Northern Australian Conference is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as an Early Childhood - Centre Manager at our Carlisle Adventist Early Learning Centre.
As the Centre Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall operations and management of the early childhood centre.
Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
Leading and Supervising Staff: Providing guidance and support to educators and other staff members, ensuring a positive and collaborative work environment.
Curriculum Development: Designing and implementing age-appropriate learning programs that align with regulatory requirements and promote children's development.
Parent Communication: Building strong relationships with parents/guardians through effective communication, feedback sessions, and involvement in centre activities.
Health and Safety Compliance: Ensuring that the centre meets all health, safety, and licensing standards, conducting regular risk assessments, and maintaining accurate records.
Budget Management: Overseeing financial aspects such as budget planning, fee collection, expenditure monitoring, and resource allocation to maintain operational efficiency.
Professional Development: Supporting staff training initiatives, encouraging continuous learning opportunities, and staying updated on industry trends and best practices.
Desired Skills and Experience
The successful applicant will:
hold a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood or equivalent (recognised by ACECQA)
have knowledge of the National Quality Framework and Standards and the Early Years Learning Framework and Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guide
have First Aid, CPR and Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification
hold a valid Blue Card and current Police Check
experience in supporting the professional learning and reflective practice of Educators
experience in role modelling and scaffolding where necessary, teacher and educator understanding of how children’s learning and development informs programs and practices
experience in leading Educators and managing the day-to-day operations of an Early Childhood Centre
the ability to facilitate and apply critical and reflective thinking skills to analyse and challenge conventional practice and ideas
be adaptable and innovative, nurturing a culture where everyone can belong, grow, and thrive
be improvement focussed in the best interests of families, children, and the Centre staff
