As a Bus Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from school, as well as on field trips and other school-related activities. Your main tasks will include:
- Operating the school bus in compliance with all traffic regulations and safety standards
- Ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of the bus
- Assisting students with disabilities or special needs during transportation
- Maintaining accurate records of bus mileage, fuel consumption, and student ridership
- Communicating effectively with school staff, parents, and students regarding bus schedules and any changes or delays
- Upholding a positive and professional attitude while interacting with students, parents, and colleagues
- Adhering to the policies and procedures set forth by the Northern Australian Conference
The successful candidate will have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, excellent communication skills, patience when working with children, and a strong commitment to safety. Previous experience as a bus driver in an educational or community setting is preferred.
